Let’s start with the drive - The 360HP Cummins® ISC 8.3L diesel engine powerfully pushes over hills, up mountains, and glides through valleys with 1050 foot pounds of torque. It also has the muscle to tow a vehicle behind if you prefer to potter around when you’ve reached your destination. The air suspension together with the air brakes gives a smooth and comfortable, quiet and overall safe ride. The electrically adjusted driver and passenger seats feature sleek lines and designer style with soft and supple Ultraleather™ upholstery, but their real beauty is inside - they've been engineered to reduce fatigue during those long hours on the road with a Flexsteel® frame and adjustable armrests. The seats are heated to keep you cozy in the cold, and the passenger seat includes a power footrest. Power sun-visors cut the sun's glare with the touch of a button, allowing you to make adjustments quickly with precision, and when it's time for privacy, they extend all the way to the dash to close out the world. The drive flies by with an AM/FM radio with DVD/CD player. The cockpit area wraps around you to deliver a superior driving experience, the steering wheel tilting and telescoping to suit your frame. The ergonomically designed instrument panel places all the controls at your fingertips for a smooth driving experience, and for accuracy when manoeuvring the vehicle, the integral GPS has reverse and side camera views. The large, backlit gauges are easy to read at a glance and the LCD in the centre of the dash continuously monitors your coach's performance. So you’ve arrived in style and now it’s time to enjoy the wonders of this stunning vehicle! Fully automatic levelling jacks allow for the 3 slide-outs to extend and so dramatically increase the interior living space, accommodating 6 persons to live, eat and sleep in absolute comfort. The first thing that strikes you about this living space is the unique layout. The focal point plasma TV screen is in the centre of the vehicle, facing the windscreen. The cock-pit seats swivel around for viewing comfort, with another two sofas, all upholstered in the softest genuine leather. When serving up dinner, or perhaps working on your lap-top, the curved dinette seating area provides a heightened sense of style and is practical and pleasing, and again provides more luxury seating. The Galley features a Norcold® 12 cu. foot refrigerator/freezer, with a water dispenser and ice maker in the door. In addition to the 3-burner stove and traditional gas oven, the GE® convection microwave cooks and bakes food in a fraction of the time. Quality Corian worktops, so easy to prepare food on and to clean, and with practical large double sinks with soap dispenser and additional rinsing tap – Here in this neat galley, you have all the comforts of your normal home kitchen. The cabinetry features solid wood walnut finish raised panel doors, with fully extending drawers maximising the storage space. The central vacuum system is so easy to use – the kids will fight to do the hoovering, and the bag from your Dirt Devil® empties from the outside, so the dirt stays outside. Luxury and comfort are extended into the bathroom, with the superbly spacious shower enclosure and adjustable shower-head with 3 water massage settings. Corian surface countertop with stainless-steel wash-hand basin, and sufficient mirrored cabinet space for all your toiletries and cosmetics. Also in the bathroom, hidden away behind handsome cabinetry, is your washer/dryer, enabling your clothes to be freshly washed and dried while you roll down the highway! Moving into the bedroom which can be closed off from the rest of the interior space, the cedar-lined, mirror-fronted wardrobes keep your clothing well organized and wrinkle-free, and there is also ample drawer space and even more easily accessible storage space underneath the bed. The queen-size bed has two adjustable air mattresses independently operated with remote-controls, so each person can set their side to their precise comfort for the perfect night’s sleep. Before you nod off, flick the bedside switch to turn the generator off. The bedroom entertainment centre brings your favourite TV shows or DVD’s to your bedside with a wall-mounted 26" Samsung® LCD HDTV and home theatre. The luxury and convenience are not only on the inside - The unique Diamond Shield protects your paint finish on the lower front cap from paint chips and damage caused by road debris, bug acids and weathering. This clear, 8mm. urethane film will preserve the beauty of your Excursion for years to come. The Side View Cameras mounted on the left and right sidewalls, transmit to the driver's GPS monitor. The cameras are controlled by the driver to help you see blind spots in the adjacent lanes. Once you're docked, they're handy for extra security. The remote controlled roof mounted spotlight sheds some light on your after-dark beach party. The utility compartment lets you empty the holding tanks from one central place, and the water sprayer rinses your sandy feet after a stroll on the beach. The EZ store compartments holds long, bulky items like golf equipment, coolers, and more, and the best thing is that they outside storage extends with the slide outs, so there is no back-breaking searching for possessions underneath the side-outs. It's lined with a special polyethylene material that's easy to clean, and of course there are luggage lights. Pass-through storage is new on Excursion from 2008. This big space holds chairs, sports gear and more - and you can access it from either side of the coach, and pull-out baskets keeps your smaller items together so they don't get scattered.
